The 2025 Deck the Dental Halls decorating contest and commemorative ornament sales—sponsored by HealthFirst with a $15,000 donation and organized by the Heartland Dental Foundation—were a tremendous success! Together, our fall fundraiser generated an impressive $8,241.25 in support of the Foundation’s mission. That is a grand total of $23,241.25 for our Fall Fundraiser.

On December 2nd, Amanda Allen, Program Manager for the Heartland Dental Foundation, announced the overall contest winner live from Heartland Dental’s headquarters in Effingham, IL. Thomaston Dental of the Bordonaro Region earned the top honor for their outstanding creativity and festive spirit.

All funds raised through this initiative directly support the Heartland Dental Foundation’s Economic Hardship Fund, which provides essential financial assistance to Heartland Dental–affiliated doctors, team members, and support staff experiencing hardship due to qualifying disasters, serious illnesses or injuries, or other unexpected and severe circumstances beyond their control.

The Heartland Dental Foundation is a program of the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation manages more than 160 affiliated funds dedicated to strengthening communities across southeastern Illinois, both now and for generations to come.
